The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Anime release date

 

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses anime based on the rom-com manga by Koume Fujichika will debut this year.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta), a manga by Koume Fujichika, will receive a television anime adaptation this year, Square Enix announced on Friday,  along with a tentative launch date of some time in 2023. The series is being managed by Koume Fujichika for Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker publication.

An illustration created by the manga author for the announcement of the anime was shared on the The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses series' official Twitter account. The two major characters are holding a white board with the words announcing the anime adaptation and the premiere date on it, with the protagonist Kaede Komura (left) and the glasses-wearing girl Ai Mie (right) without her spectacles.

Out of 50 nominations, the manga placed 12th in the print category of the Next Manga Awards in 2019.

In November 2019, Koume Fujichika published the comic for the first time on Twitter and started its continuing serialisation on Monthly Gangan Joker. The first compilation volume of the series was published in February 2019, and the ninth book was published in June 2022. The publication date of the tenth volume is January 20, 2023. Square Enix has been publishing the collected volumes and the official English version has been digitally accessible on Comikey. And it describes the story: 

“If we can continue to keep getting closer like this, I’ll be happy...”

Kaede Komura has a huge crush on his seat partner, Mie-san. She, however, has terrible eyesight, and tends to either forget or break her glasses! Komura-kun offers her a helping hand, and as they grow closer, their feelings for each other grow too.
