The Ancient Magus Bride Season 2 will air this year

 

Season 2 of The Ancient Magus' Bride premiered this year.

The prequel, directed by Norihiro Naganuma and written by Aya Takaha, is titled "The Ancient Magus' Bride: Those Awaiting a Star" in English and "Mah Tsukai no Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito" in Japanese. Kore Yamakazi is the creator and illustrator of the manga series "The Ancient Magus' Bride," also known as Mahoutsukai no Yome in Japanese. It was published in Japan's Monthly Comic Garden magazine by Mag Garden. There are 18 volumes in all that they have released, and they were also reissued in English. Not only is the manga well-known in Japan, but Seven Seas Entertainment also licensed an English-language North American edition, which was published in October 2014. Furthermore, Wit Studio also released a three-part OVA series that served as the basis for the anime. From October 2017 to March 2018, they also created the animation, which was shown.

A second season of The Ancient Magus Bride has been formally licensed, and it will premiere on April 6 of 2023 as part of the spring 2023 anime season. On September 5, 2022, a preview of the next season was made available. Look it up below:

In addition to the poster, the announcement listed the actors and crew. 

The personnel of The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2 comprises Kazuaki Terasawa as director, Kohei Tokuoka as chief animation director, Yoko Yonaiyama as playwright, and Studio Kafka as producer, much like the 2021–2022 OAD. Hirotaka Kato as character designer, Aya Takaha as scriptwriter, Junichi Matsumoto as music composer, Seiki Tamura (Season 1 co-art designer) as art director, Mayo Suzuki as photography director, and Yuuko Kobari as colour designer are among the returning cast members from the first season, which was produced by both OAD and WIT STUDIO. Another scriptwriter from Season 2 is Chiaki Nishinaka.

It was also revealed that Minami Tsuda would play Lucy Webster, Maki Kawase would play Philomera, Reina Ueda would play Veronica Rickenbacker, Daiki Kobayashi would play Zoey Ivy, and Koutaro Nishiyama would play Isaac Farrar. In addition to Atsumi Tanezaki as Chise Hatori, Ryota Takeuchi as Elias Ainsworth, Kouki Uchiyama as Ruth, Aya Endou as Silky, Satoshi Hino as Mikhail Renfred, and Mutsumi Tamura as Alice Swayne, they will be joining the core cast, which is returning.

The Ancient Magus' Bride is an intriguing anime with a distinctive tone and setting that is rich in old English stories, with excellent characters, and with an engaging plot. Chise Hatori, the protagonist of the narrative, is a 14-year-old who is already weary of her existence. She is so worn out that, in a fit of weakness and hopelessness, Chise accepts a stranger's offer to sell her life at auction. Elias Ainsworth, a formidable sorcerer, purchases her as her soul is being sold at an auction and decides to take her as his student and bride.

There are some brutal and audacious incidents in this anime series, so it's absolutely not for children. The sorcerer has extremely obstinate aims, and the damsel has a short fuse. This anime is not like one of those fairytales with a nice ending and a prince and princess who fall in love. The fairies in this anime series are unreliable, and the magicians have their own sinister agendas.

The Ancient Magus' Bride has a total of 7.7⭐ rating on IMDB with highest rating on 2 eps "S1Ep7 Talk of the Devil, and He is Sure to Appear" and "S1Ep8 Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" with rating of 8.5⭐, and rest eps with 7.4⭐ to 8.5⭐ rating.
